Aaron Chapman Builders (ACB) is a full service general contractor with the expertise to manage your building project from the pre-construction phase through completion. ACB has built a reputation of customer satisfaction, timely completion, high level of craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Whether you have a residential remodel, addition or new construction project, or light commercial construction needs, we would appreciate the opportunity to be your builder.
After gaining experience while working for other residential contractors Aaron saw an opportunity to streamline the design, permitting and construction process for residential clients. With this idea in mind Aaron Chapman Builders (ACB) was founded in 2005.
ACB has simplified the pre-construction and construction process for many clients by combining the design, plan preparation, city permitting, and construction work into one Design-Build contract. This results in a better value for our clients by reducing client costs and minimizing surprises and/or miscommunications that occur when multiple firms are involved in the pre-construction and construction process.
While the many of our projects are design-build, we are excited to work alongside your architect and/or designer should you already have plans in place. When working with other design professionals, ACB is able to provide the unique perspective and insight of a builder.
Upon initiation of construction, ACB continues to offer clients better value by self performing certain critical trades, which enables us to exercise more control over the project in terms of project schedule, quality of work, and safety.

Aaron Chapman
President
Aaron’s interest in construction began as a young boy when his father took him along to see his construction sites up and down Northern California. Aaron graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology with an emphasis in engineering, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. His B.S. degree provided him with experience in plan reading and drafting. Throughout his college career Aaron developed his construction skills as he spent his summers, and one semester, working for various contractors, gaining experience in foundation and framing work. Upon graduating he took a position as a Staff Geologist at an engineering geology consulting firm. During this time he was exposed to CAD drafting, and developed skills as a project manager. After a couple years in the consulting business, Aaron concluded that he missed working in construction and decided to pursue construction as his profession. He then began working for residential contractors in the East Bay, and after gaining a few more years experience, founded Aaron Chapman Builders in 2005.
Craftsman
Chris has been interested in wood working since a young age, and learned how to manage the power of a table saw before he was able to get his driver’s license. This interest grew, and upon finishing high school he pursued finish carpentry professionally, first working for a cabinet refinishing company and later graduating to running installation crews for a local Bay Area high-end cabinetry operation. Along the way he also spent time working for a builder as a framer and gained experience painting as well. While at ACB he has added to his foundation and framing knowledge, as well as gained experience in the plumbing and electrical trades. His finish carpentry background has given him a critical eye for detail, as well as an understanding and appreciation for the finishing touches that set ACB apart from others.
